With millions of existing homes wasting energy, sending money out of the local economy and harming homeowner health, the opportunities are endless to make improvements. In 2016, GreenHome Institute contract with the City of Holland, under their Community Energy program to come up with strategies to help homeowners reduce energy in a fun and replicable way. The Holland Energy Prize: Biggest loser challenge was born!
The program received support from the 2 utilities, community and local businesses willing to donate prizes. At the end of the event, we 10% reduce energy across the board and over 60 homes labeled under the Dept of Energy, Home energy score.
During this session, we will detail the program and report and give you the opportunity ask questions or share your ideas.
