A national residential accessibility program lending guidance, design review and certification to homes that utilize aging in place, universal design, and assistive technology practices for new construction and renovation.
We are partnering with Disability Advocates of Kent County (DAKC) to take ZeroStep™, a certification for residential accessibility, to the entire country. The ZeroStep™ standard is based in universal design wis “an approach to creating environments and products that are usable by all people to the greatest extent possible.”
Twenty percent of Americans have accessibility needs and that number is growing. ZeroStep ™ helps to influence the design, development, construction, and use of new and existing homes through training, education, design review and third party verification/certification of proper construction.
